Our Neighborhood

The boundaries of Southeast Seminole Heights, or “SESH,” include Hillsborough Avenue to the north, Interstate 275 to the west, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. to the south and 15th Street to the east. SESH is comprised of approx 1,300 homes and businesses with approximately  3500 residents.

The neighbors of Southeast Seminole Heights are committed to working together to protect the historic and traditional fabric of our neighborhood. The majority of homes in our part of Tampa were built in the 1920’s.  The prominent architectural style is the wood frame craftsman bungalow. Most of our homes have expansive porches supported by decorative columns; and are adorned with wood floors, fireplaces and so many other features typical to the 1920’s. SESH residents are friendly, know their neighbors and enjoy helping one another. We are an eclectic mixture of ages, races and cultures; and we are home to a wide variety of professionals, artists and tradesmen. We are a group of neighbors passionate about all aspects of our homes , and preserving our rich history.

With all that SE Seminole Heights has to offer, our great resurgence in popularity is not at all surprising. We are one of Tampa’s hottest hot spots for night life, award-winning cuisine, music venues, art galleries, boutiques, coffee houses, recreation and so much more.
